In this slideshow you will see our students working with different shapes that they were given to make a picture. The goal was that they were given one shape that they had to make a plan on how to use it when creating their picture. After using the shape they could go back and choose other shapes they may want to make their picture come together. 

During this math workshop students had to guess what shape I had in my pocket. All they knew was that it was more than 3 sides. They were able to use classroom shapes, peers, and class anchor charts to help them solve the problem.
